Akon, Ludacris Say Rick Ross Should Brush Off Rumors Of Prison-Guard Past

Rick Ross' alleged gaoler past, which he has denied metre and time again, is still a hot subject in the hip-hop world.

If there is anybody out there wHO knows firsthand what Rick is going away through, it's Akon. Just as it did with Rick Ross, TheSmokingGun.com tried and true to blow up the singer's topographic point several months back, claiming it had proof that he didn't serve as much time in gaol as he claimed in interviews and songs. In fact, the site aforementioned Akon pleaded himself out of service of process any prison house time at all.

"It'll simply affect Ross if Ross allows it to affect him," Akon said terminal week in New York of the flak his friend is getting. "Had I gone out and entertained the article, it would experience blew the article out of proportion. Wherever they got their facts or information from, let that be what it is. You got your story out, thank you selfsame much. I bow to it and keep it moving. Now, if you wanna think about it, then you're gonna open up more worms you plausibly don't desire opened up. So all Ross has to do is preserve focusing on his music."

Akon insisted that the Smoking Gun expos had goose egg effect on his life history. Who's to question that? He's working with Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston now.

"The whole purpose of Konvict Music was to grab ex-convicts, felons," he said. "People head in that direction and steer them in the opposite direction. Just focus on my past and try out to contradict whatever it is I might feature said or lived and don't focus on the positive things I've through with in companionship in world-wide. If you have an article, at least balance it out. Let the people know the good things I've done, the schools I've built. The kids I feed in Africa. Don't just say, 'He wasn't locked up for trey years.' I don't care if I was locked up for one and only day. It's that experience that allowed me to become that person world Health Organization I am, to construct a better society for who is listening."

The backstory Akon has told everyone is that before making music, he served time in the clink for being apart of a car-theft ring. He's patently moving past that. When it comes to Ross, some fans are locution his street credibility is compromised or downright contradicting whether he was, in fact, a prison guard.

"People know what type of dude Ross is right now," Akon's artist Kardinal Offishall chimed in at the same shoot in New York. "[They know] how exhaustive of a dude he is now. He doesn't have to prove himself to anybody. That's what an insecure person would do."

"I'll be honest with you, mankind," Ludacris offered about the situation. "When I heard about it, I honestly thought to myself, 'Some of them correction officers are some of the most crooked individuals.' Whether he did that or non, it's all what you take from it."

'Cris inferred that even if Ross was a prison guard, it didn't mean he has falsified his raps. He could have done dirt as well.

"It's a lot of crooked cops out there. They falsify the system," Luda added. "So I'm just organism real. When I heard about it, either way if he did it, if he didn't do it it could still be asymmetrical from it. That's what it all comes down to. So that's Ludacris' two cents on the whole Rick Ross situation. To be real with you, man, if that's how you want to manipulate the system, that's how you do it. ... You get in the system. There you bear it."

Rick Ross' next LP, Deeper Than Rap, is due after this year, according to the Miami native.

After nine weeks of singing, 'Billy Joel' has been named the Grand Champion of Stars In Their Eyes, winning a trip to Las Vegas.

Collecting his award Darren Trainer thanked the audience for voting for him and described the experience as "surreal and very wierd".

In what was either TVNZ's hat-tip to the public service union or a glaring rock history error, tonight's show featured "George Michael" performing the song Faith in a leather PSA jacket rather than the tribute to BSA motorcyles worn in the 1987 classic.

Sunday night Corrie is axed

ITV is to pull its Sunday night episode of 'Coronation Street' as part of a channel revamp to make weekends a soap-free zone.
The half-hour show will now move to 8.30pm on Fridays, with 'Emmerdale' also being ditched from Sunday nights. Viewers will get an hour-long episode on Tuesdays instead. The changes are part of the station's new-look 2008 schedule.
Simon Shaps, ITV's Director of Television, said: "We've responded to viewer feedback on 'Coronation Street' and 'Emmerdale' so that fans can catch up with their favourite soaps over fewer nights.
"One of the principal ideas behind these changes is to make the weekends on ITV1 feel special.
"We have always been the home of Saturday night entertainment and we want to broaden that out to make the whole weekend on ITV1 something to look forward to.
"This has meant a wholesale spring clean for Friday nights with new comedy, drama and feature films to get the weekend started, and a much fresher look to Sunday evenings with entertainment shaking up the historically drama-led schedule."

Good Charlotte - Madden I Should Run America

GOOD CHARLOTTE rocker BENJI MADDEN is convinced he could run America more successfully than the "idiots" currently in charge under President GEORGE W. BUSH's leadership.

The guitarist - who's dating socialite Paris Hilton - is appalled at many of the decisions made by U.S. politicians, who he accuses of lacking the intelligence required for such a high-powered job.

And Madden insists if he was president, the world would be a better place.

He says, "I have the best overall vision for economics, healthcare, job security. Honestly, I really think I could come up with some better ideas than some of those idiots that think they know what they're doing right now.

"They don't know what they're talking about."

The Following was Issued by Representatives of R. Kelly: Promoter of Last R. Kelly Tour Sued for Scamming Investors; Kelly Was Also Swindled, and Promises to Fight for Victims

Newmarket, April 16 -- Representatives of R&B sensation R.
Grace Kelly announced today that so far another suit has been filed against
booster Elmore Leonard Rowe, charging him with bilking investors come out of hundreds
of thousands of dollars by marketing them non-existent shares in R. Kelly's
late completed "Replicate Up" Tour of duty.

Filed in Atlanta on Apr 11 by John Milton Kenneth Peacock of Jim Bowie,
MD, the suit describes a outline in which unwary investors were
promised half the winnings from three Kelly concerts in late Dec and
early Jan in repay for a johnny Cash investment of $440,000. After the
concerts, the investors were allegedly presented with what was described as
a treasonably accounting display that the concerts had doomed money, as a resultant role of
which in that location were no winnings to be paid out.

At least two other lawsuits have been filed against Rowe in the death
three months, alleging similar scams involving other Kelly concerts.

Along with Rowe, whose Atlanta-based company Rowe Entertainment
promoted the "Double Up" spell, this latest courting as well named Kelly as a
suspect, even though as the complaint makes clear, he was not a party to
the fraudulent contracts -- and so knew zip about them until the
victims of Rowe's cozenage began coming forth.

In fact, Grace Kelly himself has been victimized by Rowe. In February, Gene Kelly
initiated legal action against the booster for weakness to pay Weary Willie
several billion dollars in enlistment issue he was owed. Rowe thereupon
dropped out of ken, going Kelly with a option of canceling the last ten
years of the circuit or acting the dates with no outlook of being paid. Non
wanting to let down his fans, Eugene Curran Kelly decided to finish the tour-in
burden, playacting for free.

"I agreed to let Elmore Leonard Rowe upgrade my tour because he convinced me
he was an underdog world Health Organization deserved a probability to evidence himself," Eugene Curran Kelly said this
week. "Like the locution goes, no goodness human activity goes unpunished. I let dispatch
sympathy for altogether of the goodness people wHO were swindled by Rowe and I will do
everything I can to help them get their money back from him."

Kelly's contract with Rowe expressly barred the promoter from marketing
away shares in Kelly's shows. The victims of his scam never saw the real
abbreviate, seemingly accepting Rowe's assurances that he had the correctly to
sell them a percentage of the proceeds. In fact, he did not.
